In the Sala

Across several cultures, including Philippine culture, the sala is known for being a “gathering room” or a “room for guests”. A sala can be as simple as a home’s family room or as grand as a hall or a space regarded as sacred. The most common purpose of most salas is to be together + entertain visitors. 

As for me + my house, the sala is where everyone is welcome. It’s where the entire family have come together for special moments. It’s where friends have laughed all night + maybe even shared a few tears. It’s where honest conversations have been held. It’s where some of the most cherished memories are stored. 

“In The Sala” podcast is a space where everyone can gather + be a part of the conversation. We hope to inspire authenticity, connection + community and a sense of truly being seen + heard. We want our people to feel like they are choppin’ it up in the sala with us, whether we go deep or show up for the giggles.
